Wimalawathi went for her second BMI business loan of Rs. 50,000 and has invested this amount to increase her purchases as well as buy a new plot of land. She also hopes to expand the cultivation area buy purchasing more plots of land with the profit she earns from her business activity.

Seetha Manel Kuruppu is one of the long standing BMI clients from Galigamuwa area. She ventured into banana cultivation very successfully started with her first BMI business loan. As her business was flourishing successfully, she went for the second BMI loan of Rs. 50,000. She used this amount to buy a new plot of land and buy fertilizers. She hopes this long term investment is going to bring her more profit in near future, promising her growing success in her business activity. She also hopes to undergo a technical training on latest banana cultivation methods as well.

Chamitha Lakmal is a new BMI client from Galigamuwa. He had a three wheeler for the distribution purpose but it needed a lot of repair work. Chamitha took the first BMI business loan of Rs. 30,000 and used this amount to repair the three wheeler (new tyres, cover, etc). Now he is distributing his products without difficulties in a much more efficient manner thus increasing his profit.

T. M. Gunasekera is a resident of Galigamuwa and became an active BMI cluster member 2 years back. He ventured into bricks production with the loan he received from first BMI loan. With the growing success in his business activity, which is a joint venture with one of his relatives, Gunasekera went for his second BMI loan of Rs. 50,000. He invested this amount to increase the production by purchasing big quantity of raw materials. He has begun earning a bigger profit and looks forward to it expanding in coming future.

W. Chandrawathi became a BMI cluster member in Galigamuwa very recently. She joined BMI for the purpose of receiving business loan so that she can invest that amount in her Banana cultivation. She invested her loan in expanding her banana cultivation and started rubber nurseries as well. She knows multiple business activities can increase her profit and also balance during any losses in one business activity. She also plans to go for an agribusiness management and technical training near future.
