Chandrakanthi’s husband is also employed at a Hotel. In order to ease her problems regarding transportation of her products and increase the efficiency of her business, she became a member of BMI in 2012 and obtained a loan amount of Rs. 25,000 for her transport requirements.
The first BMI loan helped ease her transport problems and expand her business. However, an additional problem arose for her in procuring necessary firewood for the business, of which prices had risen significantly in recent months. Therefore, she applied for a second loan from BMI for Rs.50, 000.
