About S.M. Srimathi

Srimathi is an existing BMI client who first obtained a loan of LKR 30,000/- in 2012 for her brick cutting business. Srimathi is from Ralapanawa a village in the Anuradhapura District and has over 10 years experience in this industry. Srimathi earns a monthly income of LKR 30,000/- on average from this business. She is from a household of five persons. Her husband and she both took on the family norm and were farming, however she started the brick cutting business to earn an additional income. It has been fairly successful and now Srimathi is keen to develop it further. She has two teenage children who are schooling and an adult daughter who works in the brick cutting business. Srimathiwants to develop the business further by investing in more raw materials and investing in the required infrastructure that would make the production and cutting process more efficient. She would like to see her younger two teen aged children complete their education and is determined to make this business a huge success.
