Sothilingam Yokeswary of Senaiyoor, Muthur lives with her husband and her son. Her husband is into general trade. She started a grocery adjoining her house to make additional income. Becoming a BMI cluster member in 2011 made her to receive her first business loan of Rs. 25,000 from BMI, which she invested to further expand her shop by buying new grocery items to sell in her shop.
At present she is making a monthly income of Rs. 18,000 from her grocery shop. She has now applied for her second BMI loan of Rs. 50,000. With six years experience in her shoulder running this business, Yokeswary knows this is a right investment at right time to increase her income. She also has developed a big set of clientele who come everyday to her shop for all general merchandising.
