Ranjith first joined BMI in 2012 and obtained a loan of LKR 30,000 for his fruit business. He has around 13 years of experience in the business and his average monthly income at present is around LKR 40,000. Ranjith’s wife is engaged in farming activities and they have two daughters who are still having their education.
Since there is a good demand for his merchandise in the area, Ranjith is now seeking to expand his business in terms of volume as well as types of fruits as well. He has applied for a second loan of LKR 50,000 from BMI to finance these activities.
Ranjith’s ambition is to develop the business further and make it a mean of steady income for their family. He also wishes to become a successful fruit merchant in Periyankualama area.
