About R Nirmaladevi

Nirmaladevi resides with her husband and two young children in the Galigamuwa area in the Kegalle district. Approximately 6 years ago she began a grocery business to supplement the income which her husband receives by working in the hotel industry. Their average monthly income is currently Rs 30,000. In July 2010 Nirmaladevi took out a BMI loan of Rs 25,000 to purchase wholesale items for her grocery business. As a result, in November 2011 she took out a loan of Rs 50,000 to do similar activities and continue to expand her business. She has now applied for a further loan of Rs 75,000 in order to invest in her business at this time of success, increasing its profitability in a manner which will enable her to help meet the expenses of the family and two young children.
