About Smanathi Shyamali

Samanthi Shamali is married to Ajith Kumara who is a technician by profession. They have a son and daughter by marriage. Samanthi started a business of buying textile in bulk and made dresses and sold them to people in her village. Day by day, her business picked up with new customers visiting her house. Samanthi used the opportunity of being a BMI cluster member and took a first business loan of Rs. 25,000 in October 2011 and invested in her trade. She is presently earning a monthly income of Rs. 10,000. Samanthi hopes to receive her second BMI business loan of Rs. 50,000 so that she can invest that amount into her trade, which is currently doing well. She also hopes to employ village girls to increase her production and to increase her profit in coming months.
