About J.P. Samaraweera

Samaraweera is an experienced carpenter form Weragoda area in Galigamuwa. He joined BMI in 2011 and obtained a loan of LKR 25,000. He used this money to purchase the required timber and renovate his timber mill. He was working as a carpenter for around 9 years and has proven skills in timber work. Samaraweera lives in Weragoda area in Kegalle district with his wife and daughter. His daughter is studying in grade five. His wife is also engaged in a small domestic level self employment activity. It is very essential that they both employ in something since the living cost is high for them. However, their main income source is their timber mill and the average monthly income from it is around LKR 25,000.
