Dilani is engaged herself in poultry business, which she could manage at domestic level. She got involved with BMI in 2011 and subsequently went for her first business loan of Rs. 25,000 to improve her income generation activity. She used the loan money to purchase part of the bird flock and their feed.
With time, her business got improved and now she thinks time is ripe for a second BMI loan of Rs. 50,000. She hope to use the money to expand the bird house area and put additional hens.
Dilani is 32 years old and married to Ashoka who is a police officer and has a son and daughter through her marriage. She is residing in Ipologama area in Anuradhapura district. She is always ambitious and wanted to get involved in any productive income generation activity during her free time.
Dilani wishes to make her business a sustainable one. She is confident that with her hard work and dedication, she can make the business successful and expand it to further to give more job opportunities for others in her village as well.
