Seetha Kumari had been engaged in fruit selling in her village and joined BMI in 2010 August. Her first loan from BMI was for LKR 25,000 in order to develop the existing business, by increasing the volume of fruit purchase and to maintain the fruit store. This is the second loan and the money will be used to expand her business. She earns around LKR 18,000 per month from the business.
Seetha is married and has two sons. Her husband is working in a semi-government organization. She is working hard to support her husband to increase their family income, so that she can provide a good education to her two children.
