She wants to buy a new auto-rickshaw as her husband is doing this job by hiring the auto. She also wants to save something from her earning and hence applied for a micro loan. She is in this profession from seven years. She has one daughter and two sons who are attending school. Her monthly income is Rs. 2000/- (USD44). Upari Devi is sitting in the middle in the group photo. She is 29 years old and married. She does tent house business. Her husband also helps her in this business. She wants to expand her business and also wants to buy some equipment for this business and so has applied for a micro loan. She is doing this business from last ten years. She has five members in her family including one daughter and two sons who are attending school. Her monthly income is Rs. 2500/- (USD55). Upari Devi is taking a second loan from Ajiwika Society. She has repaid the first loan fully. Ruma Devi is 25 years old and married. She is sitting second from left in the group photo. She is doing vegetables business from ten years. Her husband also helps her in this business. She wants to expand her business and invest more money in it and so has applied for a micro loan. She has four members in her family including one son and one daughter who are attending school. Her monthly income is Rs. 2500/- (USD55). She also has made some savings from her profit. Ruma Devi is taking a second loan from Ajiwika Society. She has repaid the first loan fully. Puja Devi is sitting first from left in the group photo. She is 27 years old and married. She does construction work with her husband. She wants to expand her business and also wants to buy some equipment for this business and so has applied for a micro loan. She has four members in her family including one son and one daughter who are attending school. She also wants to earn more profit to improve her standard of living. Her monthly income is Rs. 2000/- (USD44). These entrepreneurs are very dedicated and want to do good for themselves and their families. They understand the concept of a Joint Liability Group. In case any member is unable to repay the micro loan, they will pay on behalf of the member whose loan is delinquent.
