Fatima Nisha is the group leader who organizes monthly meetings and ensures that all repayments are made on time. Naimun Nisha is sitting second from left in the group photo. She is 32 years old and married. She sells biscuits with her husband. She has been doing this for the last five years. She wants to expand her business by investing more money in her business. Her customers are also increasing. In order to fulfill the growing needs from her customers and earn more profit she has applied for a micro loan. She has two sons who are attending school. Her monthly income is Rs. 2000/- (USD44). Kitabun Nisha is 49 years old and married. She is sitting in the middle in the group photo. She raises goats. Her husband also helps her in this business. Her customers are increasing by the day. Due to this heavy demand, she wants to expand her business and so she has applied for a micro loan. She has four members in her family including one son and one daughter who are attending school. Her monthly income is Rs. 2000/- (USD44). Sakina Khatun is 45 years old and married. She lives with her husband. She is sitting first from the right in the group photo. She has a small bicycle repair shop which she runs with her husband. She wants to expand her business and also buy some equipments. So she has applied for a micro loan. She also wants to improve her standard of living by earning more profit. Her monthly income is Rs. 2000/-(USD44). These entrepreneurs are very dedicated and want to do good for themselves and their families. They understand the concept of Joint Liability Group. In case any member is unable to repay the micro loan, they will pay on behalf of the member whose loan is delinquent.
