She has one son who attends school and her monthly income is Rs 2000/-(USD44). Chanda Devi is sitting in the middle at back row of the group photo. She is 34 years old and married. She has a small dairy farm. She supplies milk in her locality and to the nearby market. She wants to expand her business as her customers are increasing and there is more demand of milk. In order to meet the growing demands from her customers and earn more she wants to purchase a cow and has hence applied for a micro loan. She has two sons who go to school. Her monthly income is Rs2000/-(USD44). Chintu Devi is sitting first from the left at back row in the group photo. She is 25 years old and married. She runs a small saloon with her husband. She wants to decorate her saloon and also wants to buy some cosmetics and equipment for her saloon and has hence applied for a micro loan. She has two sons who attend school and her monthly income is Rs 2000/-(USD44). The loan will be a big help because they wish for personal progress and progress for their families. These entrepreneurs are very dedicated and want to do good for themselves and their families. They understand the concept of Joint Liability Group. In case any member is unable to repay the micro loan, they will pay on the behalf of the member whose loan is delinquent. The entrepreneurs in the group support each other through the joint liability concept. Note: In the entrepreneur names you may find that several last names are repeated e.g. Devi, Bibi, Kumari.
