Sajda Khatun is sitting in the middle of the group photo. She is 45 years old and a married. She has a garage which she runs with her husband. She is in this profession from last five years and now she wants to expand her garage and wants to stock spare parts as customers are demanding for the parts while they come for repairing or for servicing their vehicles. To do this she has applied for a micro loan. She has one son who goes to school. Her monthly income is Rs 2000/-(USD44). Sabana Parbeen is sitting second from the right in the group photo. She is 20 years old and a married lady. She has furniture business. Her husband also helps her in this business. Her husband makes and sells sofas. She is doing this business from six years and now she wants to expand her business and make more furniture to earn more profit and hence applied for micro loan. She wants to improve her standard of living and earn more. Her monthly income is Rs. 2000/-(USD44). Rajia Khatun is sitting first from the right in the group photo. She is 37 years old and married. She does welding business with her husband from the last three years. She wants to expand her business and wants to buy some equipment for this business and has hence applied for micro loan. She has five members in her family including one son and two daughters who go to school. Her monthly income is Rs. 2000/-(USD44). These entrepreneurs are very dedicated and want to do good for themselves and their families. They understand the concept of Joint Liability Group. In case any member is unable to repay the micro loan, they will pay on the behalf of the member whose loan is delinquent. The entrepreneurs in the group support each other through the joint liability concept. Note: In the entrepreneur names you may find that several last names are repeated e.g. Devi, Bibi, Kumari.
