She is in this business from last five years and now she wants to expand it and has thus applied for micro loan. Her husband is a very hard working person. She has two sons and three daughters. Her daughters and two of her sons go to school and one of her sons is also a peddler. He also helps her in this business. Her monthly income is Rs 2000/-(USD44). Sita Devi is sitting second from left in the group photo. She is 51 years old and married. She runs a small hotel with her husband. She has many customers and her customers are also increasing day by day. She wants to expand the size of her hotel and also wants to keep more food items to attract more and more customers and to do all this she has applied for micro loan. She has one son who attends school. She wants to give her son higher education in spite of her low income. Her monthly income is Rs 2000/-(USD44). Pratima Devi is sitting first from the left in the group photo. She is 26 years old and married lady. She lives with her husband and two children, one son and one daughter. Her son is too small to attend school and her daughter goes to school. She runs a hardware shop with her husband. She wants to invest in her shop and expand it to attract more customers and has hence applied for a micro loan. She wants to do this to earn more. She also wants to save something for the future for her children's education. Her monthly income is Rs3000/-(USD66). Pratima Devi is on the second cycle loan from Ajiwika Society as she has repaid the first cycle loan successfully. These entrepreneurs are very dedicated and want to do good for themselves and their families. They understand the concept of Joint Liability Group. In case any member is unable to repay the micro loan, they will pay on the behalf of the member whose loan is delinquent.
