Kalyani Devi is sitting in the middle of the group photo. She is 25 years old and a married lady. She is peddler of kitchen utensils. Her husband also helps her in this business. She wants to expand her size of her business and expand it and hence applied for micro loan. Her customers are increasing day to day as she sells good quality products. She has six members in her family including three daughters and one son who attend school. Her monthly income is Rs2000/-(USD44). Rehana Khatun is sitting second from the left in the group photo. She is 32 years old and a married woman living with her family of five daughters and one son who are going to school. She makes and sells sofa with her husband. Old sofas are also repaired. She wants to expand her size of her business and also wants to invest capital in her business to decorate her shop to attract more customers and has hence applied for micro loan. Her monthly income is Rs3000/-(USD66). She also wants to save something for the future to deal with the emergencies. These entrepreneurs are very dedicated and want to do good for themselves and their families. They understand the concept of Joint Liability Group. In case any member is unable to repay the micro loan, they will pay on the behalf of the member whose loan is delinquent.
