Nirosha is an existing BMI client from a rural village known as Maha Illuppalama in the Ippollogama area in the Anuradhapura District. She has been engaged in the manufacture of clay bricks for the past four years or so and has been fairly successful.
At present Nirosha earns an income of LKR 30,000/- per month on average. She obtained his first two loan amounting to LKR 30,000/- and LKR 50,000/- in 2011 and 2012 respectively. Her present request is for LKR 75,000/- for the development of the clay brick business. He is in need of these funds for purchasing the required raw materials and for paying labour.
Nirosha is 33 years of age, married and has three schooling children. Her husband works on the agricultural fields in the village. She is highly motivated to ensure that the business is taken to the next level and to earn higher profits for the betterment of her children.
