Dayamathy is a Tailor in Mawanella village in Kegalle district. It is a hillside area and most people are involved in cultivation for their livelihood. She is doing this business to serve her family. She has been doing tailoring for few years and has earned more experience too. Mostly she makes fabric carpets. Because, most of her demands are in this category. It has been selling widely and vastly. So, now this is the time to develop and widen her business. Her monthly income is Rs. 15,000 approximately. Dayamathy’s husband is a Mason. He is earning through construction work. It gives the main income to fulfill the family needs. Dayamathy joined with BMI with the hope of get some financial assistance from the company. She hopes to use the loan amount to purchase white fabrics in bulk. Buying it small lots has been expensive in the past.
