Nirojini is a brick maker. She lives in a rural coastal village called Serunuwara in Trincomalee district. She has been doing brick making forthe last 04 years. All things she does is to serve her family. In 2012, Nirojini joined BMI and received a loan of Rs. 25,000 loan. She used the loan amount to purchase firewood for her business. She used the loan properly and paid the loan properly too. Now her monthly income has increased up to 20,000. Nirojini’s mother is a domestic worker in a middle eastern country and Nirojini’s brother also takes part in the brick business. All are working hard for the family’s prosperity. Now, Nirojini has applied for another loan amount of Rs. 45,000. The loan is going to be used to purchase another lot of firewood. Nirojini plans to develop her business and supply more bricks at a time.
