Kusumawathi is a farmer who does Vegetable cultivation. She has does this for over half a decade. She knows about vegetable cultivation thoroughly and It is a great pleasure to BMI for having such experienced farmer in its platoon. She became a member of BMI in the year of 2013. She has two sons and a daughter. Her husband is also a farmer. He is also collaborating on the cultivation.Kusumawathis lives in a joint family and her daughter-in-law lives with her. When she joined BMI, Kusumawathi’s monthly income was Rs. 17,000. Though she earns that much of income, it is not sufficient to fulfill the family needs.
Kusumawathi is living with her family in a hillside area call Kothmale, where situated in Nuwara-Eliya district. She applied a loan amount of Rs. 30,000 from BMI. The loan is expected to start mix crop cultivation. It is a pilot cultivation which is going to be tested by her. She is enthusiastic about making it a success.
